I had pretty much sold out of my little card holders, and I have a market coming up next weekend, so it was time to make more! I use them for business cards, but they'd be good for credit cards and cash when you're carrying a small purse or traveling light.

Ok, so I cheated and took this picture before I actually put the claps on. But it's finished now. Glass tile wrapped with repurposed electrical wire, strung on a tripled 16" leather cord, $38. I have these glass tiles in many colors, contact me if you're interested in this one, or one in a different color.

It was a weekender weekend! These are basically simple duffel/tote bags, there are no pockets or lining, but the seams are all enclosed (French seams), which gives it a nice finished look on the inside and makes the bag more sturdy. The one with the chevrons was a custom order, but the flower one is available! Of course custom orders are also an option, if you like the style but not the print!

Just finished a custom order for a friend who wanted 4 little purses for his daughter and her cousins. I made them, but I can't take credit for the pattern. Gotta love Pinterest. Back-to-back markets is tough, but I'm all set up, the weather is nice, and there are a bunch of cool vendors out (wall art, jewelry, leather bags & wallets, and some really neat t-shirts, plus other cool stuff ) so come finish your shopping, or reward yourself for being finished by finding something neat for yourself!

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I have things to keep you warm on the intermittent cold days we have here in Houston (or the all-the-time cold some of my friends and family elsewhere are experiencing). Come out and see me tomorrow at R Bar, on Memorial, starting at 4. I'll have my regular jewelry and purses, plus scarves and of course Scrabble tile keychains.

I have a couple of events coming up for those of you who, like me, have not finished your Christmas shopping yet. Although if you are one of those people who has it all done, you should certainly come out and buy yourself a present for being so awesome about getting your shopping done early!

I'll have a table set up at R Bar - Houston on Saturday, December 13, starting at 4pm. I will have a few new products-- things to keep you warm during those every-other-day cold snaps we keep having here in Houston-- and of course the purses and jewelry I've had before. I'm also planning to be at a last-minute Mid-Main market organized by The Tinderbox Craft Collective on December 21, on Winbern and Main, not sure of the time yet. There's a possible third event on December 20, but I haven't received confirmation on that one yet. Come out and see me!

Of course, you can always contact me about anything you've seen here on the site, or custom orders you'd like. I have a few orders to finish before Christmas, but might have time for a couple more if you get your request in soon!

I was wearing a pair of earrings last night that I made from leather scraps and beads. It inspired me to do some more stuff with the leather, and I like how it turned out! If you like it, too, you can have your very own, in black, grey, or reddish-brown. $18 (tax included).

I finally picked up the tools I needed to make these cute, fun rings with the buttons I've been hoarding (and the ones I just can't resist snatching up when I find them). I can make any size ring out of the loose buttons, prices from $15-20, and I expect to have more buttons to choose from soon!

I found these BINGO chip thingies and put this together for a friend. I have 2 more sets, so there are more to come, also slated for gifts. If you're interested, though, I can possibly get another set or two. Doesn't have to be a cuff bracelet, either-- the other 2 sets will be necklaces.

I've been itching to make wire-wrapped rings with buttons, beads, and other fun things. I found this design while perusing pinterest, and while I don't have it perfected just yet, I still quite like it! (And before you ask-- that's not a stone, it's a button!)

Had a fun time this weekend! Did some shopping at one of my favorite places, Texas Art Asylum, at their 4-year anniversary sale, where I picked up some charms and letters to make gifts for the awesome couples who own R Bar - Houston, for their 4-year anniversary party! The ladies liked their necklaces, but at least one was jealous of her husband's keychain. But I can make more! Contact me if you'd like your own custom Scrabble tile keychain. I can customize with charms or sparklies, too!

Pretty neat. While I'm not going to start making dresses out of chip bags, I may try to add some recycled plastic to the pieces I'll be making on Saturday. It'll be an experiment-- how will it turn out? You'll have to come out and see! (I'll be setting up at Style Cycle, at 2, so come out between about 2:30 and 7-ish. Lots of other fun stuff going on, too!)

Tossing something in a recycling bin or using that bag over and over isn't always the answer.

Very excited for everyone at Style Cycle - they're having their first monthly auction today at 5pm. Lots of vintage stuff: clothing, accessories, housewares, art... honestly, I don't know what all there will be, but it's sure to be neat! Also, you can pick up some awesome jewelry made by yours truly (hey, I rhymed!). My pieces are available at the store any time, but today would be a fun day to go check it out!
